About Me
Biography
Cameron Liberty (they/them) is an east-coast based dancer, writer, and choreographer and soon-to-be graduate from Skidmore College. They are pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Dance Research with a double major in Environmental Studies. During their time at Skidmore College, they have studied many forms of dance, coming to favor Modern, Contemporary, House, and various forms of Latin dance such as Salsa, Bachata, and Reggaeton.
Cameron is fascinated by multi-media work – this has been enhanced by their work in screendance. Through their work in progress Tell Me Something, they have found an artful mesh of choreography, written work presented as spoken word, and film. They love to work collaboratively with other artists in order to highlight their shared ideas. Frequent themes found in their work surround ideas of community, connection, gender and sexuality, and interpersonal relationships.
Post-college, Cameron hopes to continue to create works of screendance and other performance pieces, supported by the National Lin-Manuel Miranda Family Fellowship on their Artistic Track.
